Entertainment and artistic expression are so watered down by excessive fecundity that anything requiring a good blend of creativity, talent and skills too often ends up being squashed behind purse string clutching review committees with little interest except making sure that what they allow to be funded gets the largest return, by way of the highest percentage of the unwashed masses to snarf it up as quickly and mindlessly as possible. This, (like the length of the previous sentence) offends me. I think online comics one of the few unregulated multi-media creative forms of expression that exists with any success, and I respect and envy the effort and dedication necessary to even attempt to answer the calling. In recognition of the humor, creativity and talent of these artists, I've included links to each of the comics I've encountered and enjoyed.

John P. Crane, (Jopsy) has been a citizen of the 'online world' for 20 years as an admin, programmer and benign-dictator of several collaborative, social and/or game oriented environments, and the founder of DragonMud(.org). Jopsy currently manages a systems administration group in the chip design division of a well known wireless communications company in San Diego.

Jopsy asserts "MUDs are living anthologies of kinetic poetry, rife with complex characters and fantastic settings, where the audience is involved rather than passive. It is a form of expression that has probably become more prevalent than poetry." and "MUDs are simulations or models in which people naturally and unconsciously model themselves and their ethics, manners, expressions, roles and identity. I doubt there are better tools out there for self discovery."
